In Ken’s enviro-spin today “AEP chief: Carbon capture ‘game-changing’ he goes back to one of his favorite lies:

“Most experts agree that CCS is the only hope for the coal industry to survive limits on carbon dioxide emissions, as the world attempts to avoid the worst impacts of global warming.”

And how is the world attempting to avoid anything other than Europe is trying to avoid getting its economic butt kicked by America for another few decades.

Why don’t you write a pro-China article Ken or tell us how much the world respects us now with Obama in the White House? How many nobel peace prizes will make us forget about double-digit unemployment and the inflation that is about to hit?

Ken and his envirobuddies hate America and tell lies to try and bring us down. What does Climate Ground Zero have to say about CCS, Ken? Perhaps you will just post their next press release on your all-powerful blog instead of staining the newspaper with it.

Kenny boy is at it again. He lies again several times in today’s article, which he spins with the title “Climate bill adds more sweeteners for coal industry.”

Let’s start off though with his new made up phrase: “global warming pollution.” I guess Ken did not get the national enviro-memo to stop calling it global warming, since the earth’s average surface temperature has been decreasing for a decade. Earth to Ken: You are supposed to call it climate change. You got it right in the headline, just stick with it!

And nothing about this legislation is intended to “save the coal industry.”

Here is the biggest lie of the entire “piece” though:

“Many in the coal industry oppose any limits on greenhouse gas emissions, arguing — despite a growing scientific consensus otherwise — that the world is not warming or, even if it is, that human activity is not the cause.”

Ken and the enviros know that their scientific consensus arguement is falling apart because each and every day scientists are coming forward to tell the truth about the global warming hoax.

Perhaps Ken is just falling into the old George Castanza trap that if you tell a lie enough that even you start to believe it is true. I doubt it though. Ken knows that he is lying and just like the enviros know that if they don’t get a climate bill passed soon that enough people will actually realize the implications and intent of this legislation and Americans will soundly reject it.

Well, well, well. After Ken’s friends got all upset and sanctimonial about Ken being called out for being untruthful, they go and start calling Mike Myer of the Wheeling newspaper a “liar.”

They even go so far as to say that he “provides no citations, no sourcing, no anything.”

Perhaps it is because he writes an opinion piece. It is on the “opinion” page of the newspaper. Mike Myer doesn’t write stories that are on the front of the Sunday newspaper and call them “news.”

I thought liberals were supposed to be more learned. News is for the front page. Opinion comes a few pages later. News stories are supposed to be unbiased reports of things that actually happened. Opinion and blog posts allow one to inject their own thoughts.

Mike Myer is not a liar. He writes an opinion piece and gives us his thoughts. Ken Ward is a liar. He writes opinion pieces pieces and spins press releases from the enviors that the Gazette calls news.

Ken Ward loves the Sunday newspaper as much as OVEC loves Ken.

Sunday is the best day to lie apparently. And boy, did Ken lie and spin for the enviros this weekend.

Ken even went as far to say that it was a “major piece.” That is the first thing he has been right about in a while. We would say that it was not a major piece of journalism as much as a major piece of something else.

Ken’s first lie comes early in the “piece”

“The planet is heating up faster than scientists thought it would just a few years ago. Experts say greenhouse gas emissions must be reduced soon, before it’s too late.”

Apparently a decade long span of global cooling really means “heating up” in the bizarro world that Ken and his enviro-friends live.

Then Ken repeats (spins) more of the anti-American propoganda

“Meanwhile, scientific findings have shown things are getting worse.

This March, for example, a collection of scientists reported that many indicators of climate change — surface temperature, sea-level rise, ocean and ice sheet dynamics, ocean acidification, and extreme climatic events — were at or beyond the IPCC’s worst-case projections.”

Since the science Ken and his boyfriend Clem spin continues to get debunked on a daily basis, they have to claim that the crisis is worsening even faster than even thought. The end of the world is coming on Sunday, but if you don’t prepare for it then maybe it will end on Wednesday. I guess we will just have to find out.

And then Ken gets to talk about his new favorite topic: Senator Byrd supposedly on the fence on cap and trade legislation. Does anyone actually think an alert and healthy Senator Byrd would vote to destory thousands of mining jobs in the coal fields? Of course not, but his DC staff certainly would if they get the chance.

Here’s to hoping Ken will try to stick to the facts next Sunday and also that Senator Byrd will get healthy enough to fire his staff that keep putting out statements from the Senator that are obviously out of character for him.

Everyone knows that the newspaper industry is going the way of the American auto industry. The question is how soon will the bailout come from the Obama Administration.

Surely liberal activists like Ken Ward who work for trashy newspapers all over the country deserve a bailout, much like Obama’s supporters on Wall Street and in the Unions.

Newspapers are failing because they are not putting out a product worth reading. Newspapers have let themselves be invaded by liberal environmentalists like Ken Ward and now fail to report the truth and instead do the bidding of enviro-whackos and their Foundation-paid-for lawyers.

Foxnews kills in the cable ratings because they don’t hire environmentalists like Ken Ward to write “news” articles. They put Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity in their own time slots and have opinion shows. This is what the Gazette should do for Ken Ward. He should be allowed to tell his lies in his all-powerful blog but not be allowed to write “news” stories.

If you have not seen it, there was a great editorial in today’s Wall Street Journal which talked about the seperation of newspaper and state. The argument of course hinges on private property rights, which is also something that Ken Ward and his enviro buddies don’t understand regarding the surface mining debate.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704597704574486242417039358.html

Here is the most recent post from Ken Ward on his blog, where his inflated ego shines through the “power of the blog.”

The most humorous part of the post is how Ken actually still considers himself “press” as if he were an independent journalist who didn’t just reprint information from the enviros and their attorneys.

It is called “bias” Environmentalism trumps journalism every day for Ken.

Regarding Rush’s point though, at least there won’t be any Ken / Clem clones emitting carbon.

http://blogs.wvgazette.com/coaltattoo/2009/10/21/attacks-on-the-press-i-dont-have-it-so-bad/#comments

Attacks on the press: I don’t have it so bad …

by Ken Ward Jr.

Maybe the coal guys just haven’t thought of this one yet … But radio personality Rush Limbaugh’s attack this week on New York Times climate change reporter Andrew Revkin made me think I don’t have it so bad.

I was only called a liar. Limbaugh told Revkin he ought to kill himself.

Media Matters for America has an account of the situation here, as does Curtis Brainard of Columbia Journalism Review, here.

Basically, as I understand it, Andy Revkin dared to raise some interesting “Thought Experiments” about global climate change and population growth on his must-read blog, Dot Earth, in a post called Are Condoms the Ultimate Green Technology? Here’s part of what he wrote:

More children equal more carbon dioxide emissions. And recent research has resulted in renewed coverage of the notion that one of the cheapest ways to curb emissions in coming decades would be to provide access to birth control for tens of millions of women around the world who say they desire it.

I recently raised the question of whether this means we’ll soon see a market in baby-avoidance carbon credits similar to efforts to sell CO2 credits for avoiding deforestation. This is purely a thought experiment, not a proposal. But the issue is one that is rarely discussed in climate treaty talks or in debates over United States climate legislation. If anything, the population-climate question is more pressing in the United States than in developing countries, given the high per-capita carbon dioxide emissions here and the rate of population growth. If giving women a way to limit family size is such a cheap win for emissions, why isn’t it in the mix?

That prompted this from Limbaugh:

I think these militant environmentalists, these wackos, have so much in common with the jihad guys. Let me explain this. What do the jihad guys do? The jihad guys go to families under their control and they convince these families to strap explosives on who? Not them. On their kids. Grab your 3-year-old, grab your 4-year-old, grab your 6-year-old, and we’re gonna strap explosives on there, and then we’re going to send you on a bus, or we’re going to send you to a shopping center, and we’re gonna tell you when to pull the trigger, and you’re gonna blow up, and you’re gonna blow up everybody around you, and you’re gonna head up to wherever you’re going, 73 virgins are gonna be there. The little 3- or 4-year-old doesn’t have the presence of mind, so what about you? If it’s so great up there, why don’t you go? Why don’t you strap explosives on you — and their parents don’t have the guts to tell the jihad guys, “You do it! Why do you want my kid to go blow himself up?” The jihad guys will just shoot ‘em, ‘cause the jihad guys have to maintain control.

The environmentalist wackos are the same way. This guy from The New York Times, if he really thinks that humanity is destroying the planet, humanity is destroying the climate, that human beings in their natural existence are going to cause the extinction of life on Earth — Andrew Revkin. Mr. Revkin, why don’t you just go kill yourself and help the planet by dying?

Over at Climate Progress, Joe Romm — who very frequently criticizes Revkin’s reporting in the Times and on Dot Earth (See this post, for example) – had some interesting thoughts on Revkin’s population post and had this to say about Limbaugh’s outburst:

Limbaugh’s remarks are far beyond the pale even for his brand of extremism. Urging another human being to commit suicide is grotesque.

Ken Ward, Jr: No, I love you more.

Clem Gutatta: No Ken, I love you more.

It is really hard to tell who has the bigger man crush on who: Clem Gutatta over at www.wvablue.com or Ken Ward, Jr.

Before the big news late on Friday that the EPA was escalating their war on coal and the state’s largest surface mine, Ken reposted one of Clem’s bleeding-heart / empty-headed rants.

The comments are especially comical. These idiots actually think that the Obama Administration is trying to stop surface mining because of the trumped up environmental impact that they have been blathering about.
Wake up environmental whack0s!

Obama can’t get the climate change / global warming / cap and trade / pollution reduction bill passed, because no one with a brain wants to pay twice as much for energy with little to no return. Since they are not able to prove that climate change is man-made and they have nothing to trump the economic argument, President Obama and his pals over at the EPA are going to try and make energy more expensive by reducing the amount of energy produced, coal included. They can’t actually make the temperature go up, but they can make your electric bill sky-rocket.

Hopefully Congress will act fast to prevent this over-reach by the EPA and help control energy costs, but until then we will keep enjoying the love letters between Ken and Clem.

Ken Ward, Jr is an environmentalist who poses as a journalist for the liberal Charleston Gazette. For years, Ken has chased around the coal industry and its various supporters.

You can find out more about Ken here

Earlier this week, Ken Ward was finally called out for being a less than honest reporter. A poster was made for the public hearing in Charleston by the US Corps of Army Engineers that Ken did not like. We tried to find a picture of Ken smiling, but that was about easy to find as an Indiana bat.

So for the last few days, Ken has been on the hunt for this vicious poster maker. Who dare question his authority. Unlike his news-reporting, he has been on a search for the truth.

While asking around, Ken has also been threatening people. Waving around his keyboard and ready to use his blog against those who do not give into his wishes. Beware of the “power of the blog.”

Ken even went as far as to offer up an “anonymous” blog post on his very own Coal Tattoo here.

How generous of you, Ken. Well thanks, but no thanks. You do not have a monopoly on blogging.

And you can keep telling everyone you know who it is, but you don’t. The list of people who know how dishonest you are is as wide as a valley fill.

So the power of the blog that Ken likes to threaten people with will be used here. Ken thinks he wields a lot of power, because there are a few thousand people who still read the Gazette. He does have a lot of enviro email pals (mostly from out of state) and we are sure they will rush to his defense, as always.

Go ahead and threaten us. What are you going to do?: write a negative article, blog about the big, bad coal industry, coordinate your attacks with the enviros. You have been doing that for years.

We would like for this forum to be a place where people can comment about Ken Ward and his half-truths and outright lies. Enjoy!
